WHAT IS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH?
As a general concept, behavioral health refers to a field of scientific study, academic education, and clinical healthcare practice that focuses on the integration of psychosocial, behavioral, and biomedical knowledge relevant to health and illness. Behavioral health principles can be applied in practice by a variety of disciplines including psychologists, social workers, counselors, other mental health professionals, nurses, physicians, and others.
WHAT IS THE MISSION OF BehavioralHealthCE?
The mission of BehavioralHealthCE is:
To offer high-quality, evidence-based courses in behavioral health written by experts in their fields.
To offer information on health issues to the general public since all of our courses can be viewed for free.
To promote interdisciplinary education about important health issues.
COURSE PROPOSALS
If you have an idea for a course that fits within the above BHCE Mission, please do not hesitate to contact the program administrator. There are many ways to develop a course:
The course can be written from scratch as an entirely new project.
The course can be developed from a book or book chapter you have previously published and have the rights to update and re-published as an online course. In many cases, for books that are no longer in print, the publisher will return the rights to the author. At that point, the material can simply be updated and published as a CE course.
The course can be developed from previous research articles or other matierials.
